I have a small quartz crystal, & I don't really know what to do with it. It's just stuck in the back of my dresser, & I feel as if I'm almost neglecting/abusing it.

 I have a yellow one and a cloudy one. I keep the yellow one in my Jewelry box (not sure why) and the cloudy one on top of a hand carved Native American bear in a medicine pouch. Again.. not sure why I felt the need to put them in those places... but I did. lol

I understand you are supposed to perform certain rituals to purify them?

I don't want my poor thing soaking up any negative energy from my crazy ass family.

Well, it's a pretty neutral stone itself if it's clear.  It just amplifies what is around, so in order for it to really work it needs something to work with.  A partner, perhaps.  Hmm...

Clear Quartz

Smokey Quartz
