Title: Who season begins in UK
Post by: Quest on April 13, 2008, 05:10:29 AM
The new season of Dr. Who began recently in the UK.  Usually it airs in the US on SciFi Channel.

This is the fourth season, which will consist of 13 episodes.  A Christmas special will additionally air in December of 08.  After that three special Who episodes will air during 2009.

There is word that lead actor David Tennant is leaving after the final 09 special, which will air on Christmas Day of 2009.  The skipping of a season is being done to give Tennant time to rest up and hopefully change his mind about leaving.

It's a little surprising that SciFi is showing the episodes (finally) shortly after they are aired in the UK.

Previously the US had to wait a lot of months to see the shows.
