Who the hell is Dr. Who???
Do you ever get the feeling you are out of context?Who the hell is Dr. Who???
Look at this site:http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/episodes/2006/index.shtmlThe Doctor is a quintessential English TV character. Who is enjoying something of a revival in the USA and Canada.
Yes, it was garbage for quite a few years. The last two seasons have been fantastic, however.
Tennant is just to young in my mind to play the Doctor. I just don't like him that much, next they'll be knocking on my door for me to play the 11th.
I loved the soundtrack*; the way that the main character was portrayed as geeky but in a genuinely affectionate way; the humour; Peter Kay (an incredibly funny comedian and it made a nice change to see him 'out of character'); and the way that it showed the script can stand not having the main characters once in a while. Oh, and loved the sly fellatio reference at the end
Billie Piper is leaving (see story HERE but not until the end of the season. In The Satan Pit, she was forewarned that she would die in battle... I guess she will be killed off, then.
I haven't liked her so much this season; she is too "in yer face" for a Dr's companion. (Natch, Sarah-Jane was/is my fave... ) Plus she really needs to sort out her eyebrows!! I can't watch her without staring at them. I keep expecting them to crawl off and hide behind her ears in the scarey moments. She is also a lousy actress. We joke here when watching it about which of her three expressions will be used the most in a given episode. And my final dig at her... In Wired she started the episode wearing 50s dress and a pair of groovy shades.... And all I could hear in my head wasOne banana, two banana, three banana, fourFour bananas make a bunch and so do many more.Over hill and highway the banana buggies goComing on to bring you the Banana Splits ShowTra la la, la la la la, Tra la la, la la la la She WAS Bingo!
