I warned you... well first off you should probably find out if it actually is a demon vs. some other form of spirit. But cleansing a house is all in the same. There are many ways to do it just depends on your faith or beliefs. So lets start there: Do you follow a religion or are you spiritual?

My suggestion, if you really do have something in your house, find someone powerful to get rid of it. You, yourself aren't going to be able to. Personally, I use a mixture of religions, so that might be an option as well. Find something that speaks to you. If Moloch were still here, I'd say go to him. You might try Muerte, he seems to be a bit more tolerant, but I don't know. And as for demons.... if this is your attempt at hunting them, you seriously need to get a new hobby. You can't go off half-assed and expect to not have your balls handed to you in a Wal Mart bag. I'd wish you luck, but I have intention of wasting it.

When you study demonology, you read. What the hell did you do to invite one in?

Probably sounding the letters in the longer words out loud - and it happened to be a summoning.  :banplea:

Lol. What an unhappy coincidence.

Basically, everyone on the site has warned you. Demons are not to be messed with. Also, how do you even know? What is with this "may" crap, it's either you did or didnt. What are the signs?  How do you think you invited him in?

i didnt mean to invite the demon in and it wasnt me per say i had my colleague over as mentioned in my other thread he on the other hand is cocky and believes he is ready to do this already he did this by reading some inscriptions from the books i had and the websites i was using i know that i am no near strong enough to banish a thing if it is a demon the signs as ive taken them to be have been shadows and silhouettes while i am alone hissing serpent sounds coming from adjacent rooms and these repetitive dreams of a man just staring at me with jet black eyes and at first he looks almost normal but if you look closely you can almost see a flicker of his hands turning to long claws help me please

Unfortuantely i have to say that if you are having these dreams AND the hissing sounds, you have summoned the worst kind imaginable.
What will happen next is really too horrible to go into details.

Have you got health insurance? Seriously! It is important that you are covered medically including psychological issues.

In the meantime i suggest you read some HP Lovecraft. This type of demon will not enjoy your mind tuning in to these things.

OK Bill. Lol. That was cold. I think the kid has learned his lesson.
AC, if you look online you will find many a cleansing ritual. Find one in your religion or belief system. Invest in a protection amulet, the trinity is usualy good. You might have to perform the ritual a few times, depends on the demon. And tell your mate to piss off. He is a rank amateur and shouldnt be playing with these things.

I disagree Angelus. He has learnt nothing yet.
How about he pays our airfare and we go and sort it out for him?

ok so maybe you might be able to get away with the traditional catholic rites.

The Magic Shield: A Manual of Defense Against the Dark Arts by Francis Melville, at the end of the book it has the purification rituals and a few different ways to get rid of them. You need to stop doing black magic, just saying doing envokation spells of demons is probably how it got there, that is if it is a demon. But the book can serve you well and for more than just that purpose. Some of the things in there are not true about monstrous creatures but part two of the book works pretty well.
