Title: spiritual pollution
Post by: oldbill4823 on June 20, 2010, 12:24:04 PM
What looks like a cat, moves like a cat, acts like a cat, smells and sounds like a cat?

The answer more often than not, is a cat.

Try the same thing with a human though and the answer that each individual would have us believe is likely to be a vampire, werewolf, demon, subdemon, half demon, demon hunter, indigo, jedi knight, fae, fairy, changeling, alien, or reincarnate. In fact ANYTHING EXCEPT a boring old human.

So what is going on with all these non humans?

Well i am going to stick my neck out here and suggest that what we are really witnessing is a form of spiritual pollution.

Walk down any highstreet and just look at the images words and ideas we are feeding on. Bookshops now have complete shelves given over to the genre of paranormal mysteries, vampires and other modern myths typically get their own section. Vampires are sexy, so are werewolves. Look at the personalities and bodies we pay millions of dollars to portray these fantasies. We want to emulate them, be them, live like them. Yet the vampire is currently a fashionable idea of our time. It is a new high gloss, highly advertised, rich  cult sponsered by films books and other modern media.

We are saturated with advertising in almost all aspects of our lives. Our entire entertainment industry feeds these same ideas and we digest them. At first as fun, but maybe a little more deeply too. That is after all the way to manipulate a population isnt it?

So my question to you is how much of your belief system is a result of modern spiritual pollution?
