Title: Janus-kitten
Post by: Devious Viper on July 17, 2006, 01:44:18 PM
A kitten has been born with two faces and veterinarians don't understand why. The kitten was born Wednesday morning in Ohio. It has two mouths that meow in unison, two noses and four eyes that have not opened yet.

The little boy who owns the cat said he hasn't decided on a name for the kitten yet, but said he wants to name it Tiger.

Two other kittens were in the same litter, but they are normal.

Veterinarians say this occurrence is very rare, but the kitten could be just fine. It has already begun nursing just like the other kittens in the litter.

Though scheduled for an appointment with a veterinarian the kitten has failed to show up.  The family reports that the kitten is missing and found their front door unlocked and are considering foul play.

Sounds like a case of twins that never fully developed. Ripley's Believe It Or Not (not that they can be trusted with everything they say) have many cases of two-headed turtles and snakes. There's a two-headed calf too. I think this has happened to people too. Oneof the stranger forms of parasitic twins.
