I must confess that I am a were too. Whenever the maggot part of my mind kicks in,I find myself compelled to rush to the nearest trash can and start feeding on the decaying food resting within. It's such a strong,primal urge..

Well I know this is my first post but .....

I do dream vividly about wolves and foxes ( already being one usally)
But I've had one or two about metemorphing into a wolf or a fox. So I do belive in mind-shifting, but actual shifting, I'm not so sure. I do conmsider myself a newly found mental shifter. But I wonder if it is just me who would be a fox shifter, I've never heard of anyone else like me. I have red hair, so that might be a good start! I've been surfing around here for a while, and I thought it might be a good time to post (aka, before the summer is over.) I just wanted to say hi, and if this is the wrong forum to do this, please let me know.

A question though. I started to have these dreams often in May of this year. I know this is terribly stereotypical but I like fish, chicken, turkey, shrimp, calamari, lamb, and bison (raised on a farm, out west here we don't shoot them! :P ) but I really don't like steak, veil, or pork. And I'm Christian so I have many silver crosses and I do like them.
I'm thinking it might just be a dream, but there really vivid and I wake up w/ severe back pain and my gums bleeding. (PS I don't like the taste of blood very much. I can tolerate it, but it isn't pleasant.) I can get moody and ladyy, but its probably PMS! :P

I know you've heard a lot of these stories before, but I would like some sort of explanation. Thank you again for welcoming me.

ha ha! My old science teacher had a funny hatetred of poodles, and had alot of funny poodle related Far Side comics in her room. She also made her own poster w/ the words "Poodle, the other white meat!" on it. It was too funny! I do hope that doctor was killed with sharp claws Voo! Blunt ones hurt! lol :lol:

On the subject of dream shifting,I've done it before myself,once. It's a pretty intense,powerful thing to have happen to you.  Perhaps you would like to share some details with us about that particular dream,Catherine?

Thanks alastor and maggot man. Yes it is pretty intense, and a little scary. But the shift was less scary than the rest of the dream. Ok here I go...

The ones that I'm a werefox (i suppose that you would call it that) or a werewolf are practically the same, only I'm a fox or a wolf. Now when I'm already changed or when I shift in the dream I have no clothes, and I look just like a wolf or a fox with a few exceptions. I have these semi shortened fingers (thumb included) on my front paws. My pack paws look like a regular fox or wolf. My eyes are always the same color as my own and the fur of the animal is always either tinged, streaked, or all red (like my hair, which is naturally red!:P) These dream usually happen either on the full moon, or very close to it. It can be either waning or waxing, so its hard to predict.

Now for the dreams where I'm already shifted it usually follows this pattern.
*I'm in a field of wheat or very very tall pussy willows that are gently swaying back and forth. Its nighttime, and, weather it is a full moon or not that night, it is always full in my dream. Now if I'm already shifted, I move on to the next bullet note. If not, I'm naked and/ or I take off my clothes. Then the wind grows very strong and I feel this horrible wrenching in my back and my knees. I'm standing and I fall down and start to scream, but it turns into a howl or a yapping (if I'm a fox) and I grown in size or shrink and my nose grows too. At this point, I always try to stand, but I can only crouch and then that cannot be done after a few moments. My ears hurt, and there is a pain near my tailbone as my tail starts to grow. There is tingling everywhere as fur grows as well. Everything else changes during this period in spurts. Then I am the animal.
*I come out of the feild next to a lake. Now my focus zooms out to look at me. This is how I know what I look like in the dream. This either is fast or slow, depending on the dream.
*I come back to my own animal body and swim across the lake. I usually then find a small animal, freshly dead and take a few bites, This has been a rabbit, but I've also encountered squirrels or a small deer.
*Then I hear shouting. I run though some trees but it starts to be hard to run. I'm slowly changing back. Then I see a bunch of red eyes in front of me. They grown bigger and bigger. Then I see a man in all black with a black trench coat. I hear a sound like a gun and black out. I usually wake up in the morning with my back hurting with my gums bleeding.

(P.S I remember these dreams because 1. there very vivid and real 2. I bullet certain things in a notebook when I wake up and 3. I've had these dreams quite a few times. I've had 3 shifting dreams, 2 wolf, 1 fox, and  5 already shifted dreams. These are the only ones I wrote down, so I may have had more, but I don't recall them.)

There have been variations on my age as the animal, and the things I do in-between the eating and the shouting, but this post has been long enough!:D
