Monstrous

When I first heard about werewolfs, this is what I learned: It physically changes from man to wolf but can't grow a tail. Because of this it is said that a werewolf runs on three legs and uses his forth leg as tail. When it has changed it can only enter or leave a house if it crawls under the threshold or through the sink drain. Whatever befalls the werewolf will show on the person when it has changed back. The changing seems to be connected with some kind of spell and has in no tale I've ever heard any connection to the moon. The favourite food for a werewolf is said to be unborn children ripped from the mother's womb.
This is how werewolfs are described in the folklore of my native region. Guess if I felt confused when I saw my first werewolf movie?!
Since I'm not a werewolf myself I have Feel free to ask if you need more details - I will provide what I know. It's just that my memory needs to be nudged sometimes.

Finally, lyric beauty has returned to Monstrous, replete with babies ripped from their crimson cribs.
Please tell us more.

Lady Griffin, your confusion upon seeing your first werewolf movie is understandable since the werewolf of film bears little resemblance to the werewolf of legend or reality. I myself am not a were so I cannot commnt on what they look like but there are plenty of knowledgable weres on this site who can help you with your query. I hope you find the answer you seek. Welcome to the boards!

We honestly just transform to Wolf and hunt.
We aren't that different, besides our shortened noses, and eyes closer to the front. We don't eat dead babies or anything human life, unless forced to out of self defense. It is just like a wolf besides us being ourselves.

Well, I think werewolves should look like this

Much too tame to be considered Monstrous.

Griffin I would have to say that a wolf looks no different in a mirror than yourself. I think its unfair to say that we fit a certain description. It would be like saying that for a "human" to look decent you have to be a certain weight, eye color, height, etc.
I am so flippin' tired right now. :embarassed: Does any of this make sense to anyone else?
-
You're right there, Wolfsong; it does make sense that we shouldn't be fit into a certain description. We're all unique, aren't we.

Indeed we are. Its not like every vamp on the street looks like dracula or.. well, do i dare to say, Edward... x.x
-
LOL, so I guess there really isn't ONE answer to this question. We could look like anything.
-
I am sorry Erin and Berlin (no Blacksite, just because Moloch is no longer with us does not mean you will no longer be labled as such) but no, neither of those puppies would I consider Monstrous. I would be tempted to give them a boot to the ass instead of tremble with fear. Now my puppy here would cause all of those on this thread so far to seem tame by comparison.

Ok then, I'll go look for some werewolves that will really scare the pants off you.

Here's some

Some of these don't really look like wolves. But hey, they're scary.
And if none of these even give you the slightest of chills, well then I'm stumped.

Yeah,I think we kinda changed the topic from "what werewolves look like" to "who can find the scariest werewolf picture".

The majority of them I feel more akin to, thankyou for your diligence and effort to find them. So little effort to do things has been exhibited here as of late.
Sorry Erin, I still favour Muerte's choice. It's something about the eyes.
And for all of you who have answered - I didn't mean to find "the one true look" of a werewolf. I just related old folklore and other stuff as an addition to the discussion. I was curious about the amount of truth in the stories.
Exactly Lady, for the eyes tell us things that physical stature never will. If someone tells you that they will do something you simple have to look into their eyes to see the truth of their statement. The eyes of my choice promise Pain terror and much more, those eyes say "Beware".

(no Blacksite, just because Moloch is no longer with us does not mean you will no longer be labled as such)
i'm sorry but i don't understand what that means, did i miss somthing
:?
-
Did not Moloch consistently refer to you as our Berlin Wall? I seem to remember the reference repeated quite a lot myself. I am sorry if my reference caused us to go astray.
-
The eyes in this one seem possessed (probably because they're blank) but that gives me the chills.

I am sure the blood dripping has nothing to do with it at all either  .
-
I suggested that one too, very werewolfy.
-
Wait I posted the wrong pic, that one was from earlier on in this thread but yes, the one I meant to post has quite a bit of blood as well, probably even more. What can I say? Nothing is complete without enormous amounts of blood and gore.

I have no idea what disney cartoon you're talking about but I can understand how that picture could seem a bit cartoonish. Muerte's picture reminds me of a comic for some reason but it still looks like a more realistic depiction some how.
-
That's fine? It got me interested, is this the cartoon?

I see what you mean by the dolls hair.

Okay, long story short, myself and others have noticed that in the dark ,darkness is darker(???) around me,and when I'm in any kind of nature(y) place I feel stronger than normal and my eyes go from turd brown to a copperish color, and when in open, flat Places I have a strong urge to run on all fours and howl for no reason at all. Anybody mind tellin me what this crazy sh*t means???

Yeah , so you've just described something that resembles the nature of werewolves and now you're waiting for someone here on Monstrous to tell you that you're a werewolf so you can boast to your friends about it.
If I'm wrong , please correct me. It's not that I have something personal with you , it's just that I've seen so many people do the same thing you are doing now and just end up leaving the forum.
Instead of just coming here and ask us this rhetorical question so you can be at peace that you are a werewolf , so you're something more special than most people in this world , you could just go document yourself about werewolves.
You could've just read most of the posts in this section , use google , download books about werewolves and so on. No offense , but to answer your question , I honestly think that that 'crazy sh*t' means only that you are looking for something to make you special and the fact that you're attracted to the werewolves culture made your subconscious convince yourself that you are one.

wolfsong, i couldnt have said it any better myself!
