Title: 2012 The Time for Reintroduction
Post by: Nina on January 09, 2009, 11:40:01 AM
“Your experience will then be created by one of two other energies: your uncontrolled thoughts, or the collective consciousness. To the degree that the collective consciousness is accepted, absorbed, and internalized, to that degree you will experience it as your reality. This is no different from how you create what you call reality in your present life. Always in life you have before you three choices:

1. You may allow your uncontrolled thoughts to create The Moment.

2. You may allow your creative consciousness to create The Moment.

3. You may allow the collective consciousness to create The Moment.” – Walsch

I'm starting to suspect that vince's spirit animal is a house cat...... a FAT lazy Tomcat.

 :focus:

Ok now, the article assumes that something's gonna happen 2012. and there are many signs that point thatta way. however, regardless of the signs. there are even more pointing in the "nothing's gonna happen ya loons" direction. So We'd just better prepare what we can and live life day to day, else we might end up victims of hate squads, christian conversion groups, accidents  ..... etc. and we don't even make it that far.

So Wait in the shadows, and prepare for a party!............... and if it doesn't come? you can go on with your lives, none worse for the wear. cept maybe a few dashed dreams.....and a hell of alot more focus dude to the preparations you've made.

Or you could drink till people throw you out of the bar.

You're definitely onto something Raz. I like the way you think.
You are absolutely correct too. There's just as much evidence that all this hype is over nothing as there is that something big is gonna happen in 2012.

Heck, IF something is actually going to happen, what the hell can we do about it? Absolutely jack s**t! So why get our knickers knotted over something we have no control over?

for when the drinks wear off.

who cares if there is evidence supporting the negative? As long as it keeps people's lives from being boring great!

This brings me to a point, people these days arnt united. they spend long hours on the /nterwebsspc/ipod/ compact gaming system/ home theater and don't socialize like they once did. people are becoming unhappy because we by design are made to support our society. and therefore help others. these others become friends, whether annoying or not and interact with you and then form a demi-society. a circle of friends. and since its easier for people to slip up in RL than on the webs they eventually learn to deal with other people.

Which is not to say individuality and free thought is bad. its just that these days we take it too far and end up emo like vince or psychotic like moloch..... btw, these two examples are horrible since they probably gots a ton of friends in RL cause one of them's funny, and the other guy's got an ego so large its got its own gravity well.

Ahem.....  :focus:

While what kreepy said was true in a sense. we cannot afford to simply lie back and let armagedon come! cause that would be lame and would totally make us WORTH ending.

I propose a proactive approach where we prepare ourselves as best we can by our own ways and get help where we can get it, cause you'll never know if you're gonna be that special nail that goes  missing in a war and leads to defeat.

Besides. Haven't you heard? Its the thought that counts

I already have a little group of friends, and we are already searching for a proper place to go to when it all starts...

My advice: MOVE AWAY FROM BIG CITIES, CAUSE PANICKED PEOPLE ARE WORSE THAN BEASTS!!!

We found a part of country where we will go. It has many water sources and wild animals, so even if circumstances make it hard to go to shop (which they certainly will, per example: you wont be able to get food if you dont have a chip), all you need is knowledge of making traps and/or some weapon to get your own food. Also, its a good idea to prepare seeds of wheat and such.

Actually Nina, I'll have to argue that point.
In the event of an apocalyptic scenario, the city would be a PERFECT place for people with the drive to survive. Basically, post-cataclysm city life would be Apocalypse Boot Camp. Deadly and efficient training on how to survive in a world where people will shoot you as soon as look at you.
Hell, I know I'd prefer to bunker down in an inner-city apartment complex with my survival gear and various guns.
Ah yes, speaking of guns...
You seem to forget about the much-loved Second Ammendment in the American Constitution, Nina. You really think widespread chaos would last very long in a country where semi-auto weapons are legal, and illegally-owned fully-auto weapons are extremely common? No, criminal organizations and gangs would enforce strict peace and form protectorates over the turf they claim. Even if there was a huge panic and riots all over the place, the widespread ownership of guns would end that in a hurry and the violent hordes would be pumped full of lead in a timely fashion.

GOD DAMN it's good to live in a country where we can own lethal weapons.

Kreep, I dont live in your state so I dont have to know your amandmans, more than you know mine... I agree with you to some point, but Im speaking from my mother view- I have to protect my child and best way is to move her AWAY from murdering chaos that you love so much.

But kreep does have a valid point. In a post apocalyptic world, those with guns and the goons  have the power. (watch fist of the north star).

Currency won't mean much and food spoils. so unless you have a well defended farm you'd starve out there and probably get enslaved...................
People like kreep will probably be the guys with the goons and the guns. and the military would be in so much crap that predicting becomes a pain in  the caboose

Where as I can see merits in both taking to the country,
and staying in the more urban areas...

I must say I am still continuing my survivalist training, yes, done in a compound....
I am from the South, you know...

Either way, I am a VERY good shot with most fire arms
and still lethal enough with a long bow,
it is best be wise to stay from my food, water and such.

all that said,
and if I CHOOSE to still be around,
the predictions I have seen it would not matter what you DID,
or even so where you GO,
your best bet is who you ARE.

Your Will,
and
your INTENT,

will determine your "Reality".

You're exactly right Raz. In my mind, I can't help but look at an isolated farm full of people as a concentration camp that raiders and thugs could use as a near-infinite supply of food, labor, supplies, and even sex slaves.
In effect, it would be identical to a feudal-era estate.

People like kreep will probably be the guys with the goons and the guns.

Yeah, most likely. I wouldn't mind that kind of life at all, and in most cases I'd much rather live in a chaos-filled city and that promised great reward in exchange for great risk rather than go live out in the boondocks where there was little of either.
However, if I could secure a strong and loyal enough group of people I can imagine living out in the middle of nowhere and living off the land might be a good life, but I certainly wouldn't risk my own survival like that unless I could guarantee that my "tribe" would all work together to accomplish the goal.
