Hit the wrong button there a minute ago, I think that took most of the venom out of mine. If theres anything else you want edited out let me know.

No worries, I figured you will fix that so left it for you to do it ;) If i find anything more Ill send you in pm.

Probably make a road trip with the family, to a really beautiful location, and camp out.

Yeah, that doesnt sound like a bad idea. Although, what if it hits during the winter?

Well odds are I'll be one of the zombies. Luck has never been on my side

Hey, some zombies rock.  :-D

If it hits during the winter, I know the perfect spot.
EDIT: Removed

... and across the little valley are two spots my friends and I use to take the dirtbikes up to ... ( awesome sledding or snowboarding zone ).
When the grove down below is covered in snow, the little pond gets frozen ( thick enough to ice skate on, too! ) and the little falls freeze, too. It's beautiful there.

But what if the roads are closed? What if the EMP hits and your car wont even start?

Im such a peach today

Well, that's just it... in order to get to the places I wanna go, you have to go through the woods in the mountains and stuff... Four wheeler and dirtbike trails.
If they won't work, it takes awhile to walk there, but it's definitely possible. I did it all the time when I didn't feel like moving the cars and mowers around to get to my bike.

I have a nice cabin my family used to own in Baudette, MN on the Lake of the Woods, up FAR NORTH on the Canadian Border, that I could escape too. There's no longer a question of property right, take that Well's Fargo *Rips down pink sign*

I thank Goddess that my State has the most paved trails in the Union, I could use those to get through the zombified sections, too bad my State's population is 5.5 million, darn America's high fertility and immigration rate!

It would take forever, but I could walk up there or bike on the aforementioned trails...or if it was winter, get out the cross-country skis, that's my fav. sport anyway! Of course, how do we KNOW there would be EMPs Nina, but the western portion of my State has tons of silos, so maybe I wouldn't even need to worry about getting out at all :?

I'm even more of a peach then you Nina... :-P

What if your car is from the 60s? I own a Ford Mustang from '64? I've heard those are immune to EMPs, as they have minimal electrics, so my car may still work, as long as there's gas, 6 hours and I'm in Baudette...we need the appropriate song to smash zombies with my car too on the way out of Anoka...here we are!

I think they are still started by an electrical spark Arctic, so while it does have fewer electronics, it would also not be immune.

What are you thinking Nina? EMPs caused by man or nature? Assuming you count the sun as part of nature.

Awwww, VM's a buzz kill (I joke)...but I would still have to get out of a city that has 18,000 people in it...I think I could use the Mississippi River, as I live 20 feet from it! Use that guy-I-don't-know's Boat (he lives across the River from my apt. building) or something and go south, then back track on those trails I mentioned...very zombie movie like, huh?  :-P

I think me being a buzz kill is better than what could have happened had you not know lol. My plans, well, set up shop in a store with a good amount of food (like H-E-B, think big ass grocery store) and eventually set up shop in a gun place. Try to make it easier to get safely from one to the other, and start killing as many as I can. Not because I enjoy violence (because I don't) but because there really is nothing else we can do other than try and kill them all off before there's none of us left.

So what're you guys going to do...
If it's NOT Zombie related?

Same basis lol. Supplies, weapons, and fight to survive. The only difference might be where we set up camp. I mean, it's already been established that we would let people in to our 'safe haven', but obviously we'd check them for whatever signs would show them to be 'bad'. Don't want people to forget that we're supposed to look out for each other.

Yes, I know there are already plenty of Zombie threads lol. Besides, like I said, my plan for survival applies to most forms of 'World Ending' events.

My bad Nina. I wasn't originally trying to steer it the Zombie way... but the wording on my post about it was kinda bad.
That's why I tried to get it back off the topic with my "What if it's NOT zombie?"

One thing you have to remember whatever the cause of the end of civilization as we know it-you need to have some kind of weapon and be good with it or be with a group that does because otherwise there will be looters and people trying to steal your last bottle of water
