i'm, sorry
i suggest you all take my old post deletion as an Apology, because i'm a selfish stubborn douchebag ........ its something i was born with
and yeah.......saying to me that i shouldn't start with the supernatural first....i mean its a forum all about the supernatural.....what do you expect
anyway
and lets forget about this......(like in the "
" kinda way)
I see you're a
Supernatural fan! So am I!

that said, sure, we discuss paranormal activities and entities and sometimes work on, with, or against them (depending on what the activity/entity is), but we can't just "diagnose" someone with those kinds of problems.
Example: a very rash, doesn't-think-straight person who's got a history of mental issues comes to the boards and posts a problem, without any reference to his or her personality issues. They ask us about the conditions of someone they know, and we automatically jump to the conclusion that it is a demon (
just as an example). For some reason, this person has not done his or her research. He or she believes that demons can be killed, for some reason, with an iron round or something. Next thing you know, the person has killed the could-be-possessed individual they know, instead of properly dealing with the situation.
We like to make sure, first. And then we deal with it. So, if a person was indeed experiencing such problems, we'd detail the issue and assist. Perhaps by exorcism, if the need arises, or by personally attempting to help.
That's why we can't just jump to that conclusion. It makes things dangerous for people who come on the board.
All right, for real this time, let's get BACK TO TOPIC. I don't think this should be a locked thread, because it poses some interesting questions and brings up some interesting points insofar as the bringing-together of demonology and dream-study is concerned. No, I do not think it's applicable in this case (an actual demon visiting in a dream, that is, because it doesn't seem right), but I do think it's a good place to start discussing it, given the title.
