weak or dormant powers

"For those who have weak or dormant powers" I have seen lot's of people here with ability's that have already formed but i wanted to open this topic for those just learning to use or just beginning to explore the ability's they have, or those who want gain those ability's, "If that is possible not quite sure on that point"  But that is why i made this topic, I have already looked into meditation calming exercises etc, I have the belief that we are all capable but the circumstance's of the environment may suppress those ability's, Whatever info you have would be extremely helpful'  the first time you saw something, felt something had a near death experience, "If that is to personal i apologize for asking"  Also how you focus your ability's,

I have a small suggestion for a starting book for you if you really want to practice. I read it, and I was like 'hey, this actually sounds right!' which surprised me and I bought it for my friend who was 'training' at the time. Anyway 'The Everything Psychic Book' (I know, sounds cheesy) has a lot of good places to start. Such as meditation to the third eye, and astral projecting. So, enjoy it if you read it and good luck tapping in!

I am glad to see that you are venturing down this road. Be sure to report any progress you have. Many of us may have a few pointers for you, but I think you have to get to a certain point on your own before those pointers will be of much use.

Meditation is a key. It unlocks a door that leads to another door that leads to another and another and another....

Yes yes you did,   but i can't practice what i don't know, The best definition of my understanding right now is uber noob,
But i have already begun trying meditation, thank you for the input you are all very helpful,

Well, what all are you wanting to learn?  Right now I'm reading The Palmistry Workbook.  It's cool because... well, it's a workbook and with each chapter you can actually practice what you learn and build on it that way.

I'm a book junkie, but like LG said you do need to practice what you learn, too.  With that said...

  I suggest you ask for a Nook (or similar device) upon your next B-Day or on Christmas, whichever is first.  I myself have bought one and the convenience of downloading books while standing in line at a McDonalds or while ordering Coffee at Starbucks is rather enjoyable.  Plus you always have your whole library at your finger tips.

Yes, in that state even more than being firmly in one dimension. When you are just starting to awaken that abilities in you (this goes for teens especially), you more than likely have no clue of whats out there (or maybe a better word would be in there). Im sure that most dont have negative experience, but what Ive learned is that going there without some sort of protection is a bit... irresponsible. Be it your totems, ancestors, God, angels, pray... it doesnt matter. Just you knowing that you protected yourself is a weapon for itself.

(update) While meditating had slight tingling feeling also increased hearing, (heard the dog outside barking) Is this to be expected or is it my imagination?

Its not your imagination.

Your hearing will fight you all the way. In the begining you will notice every sound. Ignore it. Keap your concentration, and if you lose it, make a point to regain it smoothly.

And on a personal note, I have never had a negative experiance while meditating.

(update) It is quickly becoming easier to inter a calm relaxed state, Heard weird noise that snapped me out of relaxed state most likely another room in my house, I hate more attentive hearing, Might try ear plug's next time,

You are updating way too much, you are seeing results you want to see. That does not mean, you are actually getting the results. Do not rush this and try to not be excited. Calm yourself down and learn.

I advise you update on a weekly basis, make sure your success is repetitive. When you are able to achieve your results with ease or perseverance, then they become worthy of this update.  From this update, you can be guided, so the content of it will dictate the guidance you get. If you lie, rush or "cheat" you only hurt yourself.

I agree with your opinion, I believe everyone has the ability to obtain whatever talent, skill, or power they want. All it takes is perseverance.
I'm sure the environment of an individual plays into this as well as the nature of the individual. This causes some people to be good at some things and some not so good at others.

This might sound basic, but start with the ones you are better at first. Don't fight your own nature's tendency, instead find a way to make it work for you.

The best Phrase I can give you is this: I can walk through walls, all I have to do is use a door. But opening the door is not enough, I must walk through the door, to go past the wall.
