So, a friend of mine says that there is a power plant in Alaska that is storing the power it might take to create a hurricane. He says that the U.S. government controls it. I would like you to say weather or not they could store that kind of power, or even use it. And if anyone into the occult could tell me if someone could  use magic, not asking a god or goddess, and directly affect the weather this drastically, it would help get an idea on the limits on a person's while acting without the help of a deity.

Energy is a very difficult thing to actually store. Scientists have been struggling with his issue for many many years. No one yet has a really good method. Trees seemed to have mastered this many milions of years ago. Since then no one has really surpassed this simple evolutionary design.

Re controlling weather i do know of certain people that have this ability. They are not the sort of people that write on forums like this. They are the sort of people you need would need a special invitation to see. (Start thinking people like Dalai Lama.)
Even amongst people with this ability creating a large hurricane is unlikely.

As for deities well that is just your belief. Not everyone believes in such things. Certainly not some of the people that have the ability to control weather. Typically the people i speak of are Daoist /Buddhist/ Bon.

I am not a great believer in conspiracy theories. I think the world is much more scary and chaotic than believing in groups of people controlling the world. I dont think anyone is in control and that is a truly frightening notion.

You are talking about HAARP. Yes, even conspiracies aside, the fact that there are companies that have such tech is... well, quite known. One of the biggest even has their own site: http://www.weathermodification.com/

But could it be possible for a government to be able to create a hurricane? I'm already sure that they wouldn't do it, there is no monetary value for something like this.

There would be a huge amount of energy loss with tech, and I would not want to even begin to imagine what form that energy would take (the loss I mean). So, I don't know if its possible, but I would definitely say way to dangerous to do.

Creating a hurricane would just have the government that did it send aid to whichever country that got hit, and the only thing that does is cause that country to be in a debt that they'll likely never pay off. And for your comment about war, weapons, plans, vehicles, and even soldiers can be sold. And it's sometimes about resources the other country has and won't give to anyone.
I figured she did, guess it wan't a funny joke.

I think Nina knew where war profits come from, thats why she added the winking smile. Could be wrong, but thats what it seemed like to me.

Weather weapon?  :-o

Manipulating the worlds weather for your own ends...Not the worst "take over the world" idea I've heard.
And yet the only person I can think of in this situation is Sean Connery in the Avengers...lol.   *<:)
