Hi everyone,

I'm really interested in finding out info on the wee folks called "Little Earths"

I've surfed and searched to no avail and none of my fae/mystical beings books mentions them .

I remembered reading a couple snippets about them on this board and thought maybe one of you could direct me to more info.

I look forward to your replies.

These types of Faery have many names, Wee Folk, Earth Folk, Little Man (men), Little Earths, and many others I just can't remember. They are Nature Faeries, so they have a little control over their surroundings and themselves when near trees, grass, or any other plant or earth. They are normally very small (Inches to a foot and a half feet tall.) probably to hide themselves easier and they have very earthy colored cloths from dark greens and browns the spring greens and tans. Depending on the seasons.

That help, or any more questions?

Yes, Thank ya, M Sidhe.

Are American 'Little Earths' considered to be much the same as the ones that live overseas?

According to lore:
Are 'Little Earths' untrustworthy and pranksters like faeries, pixies and sprites?
Do 'Little Earths' share the serious 'sense of knowledge' of mortality of we humans? Do they seem to care if we live or die?

I think that the Faeries overseas go anywhere they can as long as people believe in them. :)

I didn't think about that. That makes sense.

Thanks. :-)

Hmmm... Well from what I see it might be another name for gnomes... Sure sounds like gnomes anyway. *<:)

M Sidhe

Thats true, they do appear to look like gnomes sometimes, some without beards.
