I've tried, it requires some kind of energy aura that surrounds the elves and admits them, allowing them to pass a barrier. The only way to get an aura would be to hold a live elf hostage, but you would have an arrow in between your eyes before you got within 50 yards.

What about all those stories of humans getting taken to that world, & coming out decades later, not even aged?

You age differently in there. If elves are anything like Dryads, they have some kind of sex drive. Do to the fact that the men are who go to war typically, there must be more women then men. I think I'll let you draw your own conclusions from there.

Time passes slowly in the fay realm, and elves are already of the multiple species of the long lived. The long-lived have infused their realm with a timeless agelessness that allows time to pass slower there.

hold up hold up hold up not to be blunt but dryads dont knock boots the god forsaken tree spirits and as such they reproduce like trees or through the union of two souls and male dryads are peacefull i think your getting dryads mixed with nymphs
