Cubboards? Really....well maybe they were really nice....

That is kind of weird.

How many times has this knocking occured? How often? Does your floor have carpeting(if its not in the basement) I would assume there is floor space under your floor boards maybe there is a body under there and they are trying to let you know....its a little far fetched, but you never know.

When you go to the library look for disappearences that never showed back up.

Renko.  Have you gone to the library and researched there yet?  I don't know how big your town is, but even in middle sized towns they have a local paper.  Try looking through back issues of those for murders/suides/accidental deaths.  I at this point is going to assume that it is a spiritual entity as opposed to a demonic one because it does not follow you, and it is centeralized to that room.  Also how old is your house, and where (meaning state).

And another awnser post! No I haven't been to my library yet, but I plan to. Our town newspaper is fairly new, so I doubt I will find anything there. I believe my house is around 7yrs old, but I'm not sure. As to where it is, My house lies in Ohio (sadly)

Since your house is young (relatively speaking) it should be easy to learn its history, but it is possible that it isnt the house.  The land itself could hold the source of the phenomina, so you may want to start there for answers.  I say this because if there was a violent death in your house, it would have happened recently, and the majority in your area would know about it.

Well, if anything did happen here, I think our neighbor would've told us....but then again, maybe not. My town was rumored to have indians on it, so that's something to think about also.

This is definately worth looking into, and if it is found true then track down the tribe and ask what sort of rituals can be done to appease their ancestors.  The entity at the moment sounds benign, but if you accidently upset it things could get ugly.  Good rule of thumb, a happy spirit is a good spirit.  One moment and Ill do a little research into indigenous tribes of Ohio.

Keep in mind that a burial ground would not be all that close to where a tribe lived.  The fact that they respected the deads peace and privacy means they would travel to get there, are there any tribal locations that could be considered near you?

Renko- Oh my god! I live in Ohio. If you don't mind me asking. Where in Ohio?? And about your ghost to my  knowledge it is good. I have the same type of ghost. He's very nice. Try contacting with yours or talking to it trough you having him or her write through you. It worked for me maybe it will work for you.

You know. I had an encounter a while ago. I was with my mate at the house he's staying at sleeping in the basement and a young friend of ours was on the other side on the computer. Well a loud crash and bang woke both of us up and we asked Cody(young friend) what had happened he said that wasn't the only thing the small dress that hung on the wall had been swaying and other boxes had been knocked over. Well cody freaked and went and got another one of our friends who in turn but salt at all the openings. Windows and doors...
Well my mate will talk to you in his sleep. And he began talking to me saying that it was the small child and the older man who were down here, the child actually spoke through him. Kinda creepy, it asked, "why won't you play with me?" He also said that the older man was watching me, wondering what to make of me, apparently not fond of new people. I could see him out of the corner of my eye, especcially(Sp) when he walked away. They know its a poltergiest, and my mate has had scratches from being down there. Yet this time we were unaffected.

He also saw my dragon, which i think is why the spirits stayed at bay.
