mmm... well, for me, soul and R&B touch my soul in a way nothing else can; but normally, you could say that when a genre of music or a song touches one's soul it's because that melody is played with the heart, or when it expresses the feelings of the author and you have an immediate connection and you experience a lot of feelings you can¿t control.
