Blatant disregard to common sense

Actually a few years ago I was camping with friends in bush land (yes Australian). It was bushfire season so the area was covered in brown, dry grass but we were kids and didn't really take this into account.

So we decided to have a bit of fun and get a bonfire going because there's no one nearby. Well we got it going alright, used all our flammable liquids on these logs and it was quite a large fire. We didn't take into account how flammable dry grass actually is and the fire starts to spread. We managed to put it out by madly stamping the ground and using up all our water (I still have the charred jeans) but we were that close to causing one of the first bushfires of the season and now we always scan the area before play with fire.

There was also this time that a friend of mine and myself took a shopping cart from the woolworths and decided to ride in it. We got to the top of this hill and if anyone lives in brisbane here, you'll know that some of the hills in this city can be pretty steep, luckily this one wasn't that bad.

Anyway another guy starts to push us down this hill and it's great at first. Then we start to gain speed and lean forward, suddenly the cart tips forward and we are literally screaming like little girls while the other guys are collapsing in laughter. Then because the cart was so top heavy it lunges forward and we go flying straight over the front of shopping cart, grinding or bodies into the concrete while the cart continues to cartwheel down the rest of the hill.

If it wasn't for the helmet I would be dead, instead I just got a HUGE concussion. We shaved off most of the skin on our hands and legs and I had stitches on my arms from where I protected my face as we hit the ground. My friend was worse off because I landed partly on top of him.

One of the most painful experiences of my life, I could have been at home playing video games, instead I was one of those kids who gets out with other idiots and makes fools of themselves in public. :P
When I hear somebody sigh, "Life is hard," I am always tempted to ask, "Compared to what?"

OK I got a good one.
I'm 7 years old just moved in to one of the worst streets in my town. So I go to the local baseball Field (it was only a block away) so me and two other older kids decided to start a good old fashioned game of dodge rock. Of course I'm the human target so I'm doing pretty good until one of them finilly hits square in the forehead. Boom slow motion rock headed towards my head but I unsuccessfully dodged it I saw red then black. I can't open my eyes but I can here them talking about hiding my body. I woke up a couple hours later bleeding like crazy out of my head so I walk home then got rushed to the hospital I got some stitches.

                 P.S My parents sued them.
Some feel safe in the light some feel safe in the dark which are you?
