I've heard of mothman, but when he was first seen, the people had just past a bomb shelter or sometin, anyway, they saw his eye first in the distance on a tower, then, when they got to where they were goin, he flew out from under their car. He seems to pop up at different times and stay in the area for a while, then go into hiding. But I had never heard he killed people.

I live in Point Pleasant, actually. I go to the M.O.V.C. with is a branch of Marshall University right here in Point. The beginning of the "mothman legend" was right here. We have a place called the McClintic Wildlife Preserve that we nicknamed T.N.T because during WWII we built what we call "igloos" inside of hills to hide explosives and ammunition. It was in the 60's and two couples were in the T.N.T area just driving around when it was first spotted. The Mothman Prophecies by John Keel is an alright book but explains too much about U.F.O sightings that were occuring about the same time. Mothman: Facts behind the Legend, however is great as it was written by two locals (whom I happen to be close friends with) that owned a record shop called Criminal Records. I don't know if any of it is real or not. In the past view years our town has tried to use the Mothman for publicity by building statues and selling cheap merchandise to bring in visitors. Point is a really s**tty town anymore, not like it used to be.
Let me not go to the Devil, where I am known.
