Tsunami in Japan

Not sure how many of you heard about the tsunami and the 8.9 earthquake that hit Japan, but it was incredibly devastating. Wasn't really sure about where exactly to post this, so I figured here would suffice.

They're saying smaller tsunamis are going to hit the coasts of Oregon (where I live), Northern California, and Washington. Fortunately, I live in Portland, so all is well - but jeez. Got an update from a couple friends who LIVE in Japan, they say they're okay but they don't know too much about their neighbors, etc. and one hasn't heard back from her sister.

Keep them in your thoughts.

I was deeply sadden to hear about this tragic event


I  hope and pray for the Japanese citizens that they will be ok and taken care of


I am sure many countries will come to their aid very soon

My brother-in-law actually has family there, but fortunately they are okay. And it was said that the military bases the US has there are helping.

I just cant imagine what they going through now, first such a devastating earthquake, then tsunami, and now radiation.... im sure for them it really is feeling like end of days...  :-(

So another reactor blew, but it seems the casing or whatever held well. Radiation was detected, but only a small amount 60 miles out. So its not too bad, as far as radiation goes.

Their trouble is trouble for entire planet, not just them... and radioactive cloud is coming first to States then to Europe, a terrible way to prove that too...
