... as police shoot naked, mindless man literally eating the face off another man!!!

(NaturalNews) The long-dreaded "zombie apocalypse" may already be underway in Miami, where a human zombie -- a mindless naked man -- was encountered by police officers who found him literally feasting on the face of another naked man. This is a true event and has been reported by CBS Miami (http://miami.cbslocal.com/2012/05/26/miami-police-confrontation-men-l...) which says:

"Miami police shot and killed a man on the MacArthur Causeway Saturday afternoon, and police sources told CBS4 they had no choice: the naked man they shot was trying to chew the face off another naked man, and refused to obey police orders to stop his grisly meal. ...Officers found one man gnawing on the face of another, in what one police source called the most gruesome thing he'd ever seen."

At that point, the police officers shot the zombie once, but he continued feeding on the other man's face. They were forced to shoot him again, which mercifully killed him. Then they sought to aid the victim whose face was already mostly eaten off.

Highly addictive drug blamed for cannibal attack in Miami a growing threat in Maritime Canada

The new synthetic drug being blamed for a horrific attack in Miami in which a naked man chewed the face off of a victim in broad daylight has become popular in parts of the Maritimes and has health officials warning of the drug's violent consequences.

Rudy Eugene, 31, was shot dead by Miami police after he refused to stop chewing on the face of his victim, 65-year-old Ronald Poppo. Poppo remains in critical condition. Local reports said most of the man's face was gone — his nose bitten, his eyes gouged, his skin ripped away. All that remains intact was the victim's goatee, according to the Miami Herald.

Best way to test a chemical weapon is to release it into the civilian target group. This looks like that to me. Experiment.

As a tinfoil hattie id even say its most possible xD

As much as I'm a fan of Zombiocolypse, I'm also inclined to believe this is a case of drug abuse gone badly, terribly wrong (not that there's a right way to abuse drugs, but hey, all things in moderation, eh?) For a start, if this was some sort of experiment from a tyrannical government, surely the drug angle would be played down and the whole thing blamed on some sort of psychosis. Besides, biological warfare of this type is disregarded as useless and counter productive to the aims of most world governments these days. Unleashing a highly infectious disease that irradicates all life in this age of easy global travel? Yeah, great idea. I'll stick to my mind-control signal generator, thanks.

Back to reality: The drug to blame, 'bath salts' had a small stint in Europe a while back, I don't remember any stories as horrific as these ones though.

Hopefully, stories like these will encourage even hardened drug users to steer clear of the substance. In the meantime we'll just have to keep hoping those rouge third world scientists hurry up and give us real zombies to play with.

Are you some sort of a military personal, that has access to top secret projects? You sound very sure of this.

Latest 'Cannibal' Incident: Thief Bites Wig Seller

A Connecticut woman has joined the flesh-eating craze, and Tuesday tore off a chunk off the arm of a shop owner who tried to stop her from stealing a wig. Technically, this incident can't be classified as cannibalism, because Lowpel Davis, of New Haven, did not ingest any human meat.

In fact, she spit the flesh back into the face of the owner, and later attacked police by biting them as well. But, this trend of flesh-eating is starting to get a bit frightening, isn't it?

The power of the internet to lower humanity's IQ never ceases to amaze me.

So some people bit some other people... And?

Has nobody stopped to consider just how many other assaults have involved biting?

A random crime:

QuoteSan Francisco police arrested Sara Gillan, accusing her of biting another woman over a parking spot around 6 p.m. Tuesday on Jennings Street in The Bayview. Police said the fight began when a car swooped into the parking space that the suspect had apparently been waiting for. That's when Gillan is accused of approaching a woman in the other car and biting her in the chest and the arms.

Was she a zombie?

In 1997, Mike Tyson bit off a chunk of Evander Holyfield's right ear during a televised boxing match at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena. Did anybody think he was a zombie?

QuoteNew York: Glens Falls police report that Ernest Vannier was caught having sex with a woman around 4am yesterday in the smoking room of a bar called the Daily Double. It sounds like Vannier wasn't too keen on ending his early-morning activity, because the Albany Times Union reports that it took a bartender and a few other employees to escort him out—and in the process, the 38-year-old allegedly bit off the bartender's pinky, say police. Vannier chomped down so hard he broke bone, and the bartender's finger was almost severed.

QuoteTampa, Florida:  Sheriff's deputies say a man bit a security guard during a disturbance at a Tampa nightclub. The incident happened early Sunday at Club Sensacion.

QuoteGilroy, California: A Gilroy man was arrested early Christmas morning after police say he bit part of another man's ear off during a fight in a convenience store parking lot. When officers responded to the reported fight at the 7-Eleven on Tenth Street shortly after midnight, they discovered a 55-year-old man who appeared injured and was missing part of his left ear, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

QuoteMudgee, Australia: A 21-year-man who allegedly bit off part of another man's ear in a fight at a Mudgee hotel last month has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. Police alleged that the man became involved in an argument with a 22-year-old man at the Waratah Hotel at about 1.50am on Sunday. During the incident, the accused allegedly bit off a large portion of the other man's ear.

QuoteGateshead, England: Maria Topp, 44, attacked Martin Douglas, her partner of five years, after they had been on a 10-hour drinking session in February. Officers were called shortly after 4am on February 18 and found Mr Douglas wearing a towel. The most serious injury was obvious to the police when Mr Douglas pulled aside the towel he was wearing. They were able to see his scrotum was ripped and his testicles were exposed. Douglas had a bite to his tricep and multiple scratches as well as the bite injury to his scrotum.

I could do this for hours. People have been taking chunks out of each other since time immemorial. Cherry picking a couple of incidents hardly makes a zombie apocalypse.

As an article in the Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Journal recently pointed out:

QuoteIn mortal combat situations, such as the violence associated with life and death struggles between assailants and victims, the teeth are often used as a weapon. Indeed, using the teeth to inflict serious injury on an attacker may be the only available defensive method for a victim. Alternatively, it is well known that assailants in sexual attacks, including sexual homicide, rape and child sexual abuse, often bite their victims as an expression of dominance, rage and animalistic behaviour. The teeth are a significant component of our natural arsenal.

There's a difference between biting when you're aroused by strong emotions and just flat out pouncing on a person and cannibalising them, I first thought of the pcp stories i heard from the late seventies coupled with the zoid rage of today...

but i know i guy who tried that drug.  He hid in his closet for two days, lost a job, called the ambulance for a heart attack he wasn't having and has finally found a drug he won't do again, fortunately he didn't try to eat people but still trying the newest designer drugs he comes across.

i hope the next zombie attack isn't my story.

Not at all. One is an extreme state of mind assisted by the body's naturally produced chemicals such as oxytocin, vasopressin and corticosteroids. The other is an extreme state of mind assisted by synthetic narcotics/stimulants/psychoactive chemicals.

I was in the RAF and I am very sure. You don't need "Illuminati" level access to figure it out; modern history shows us so. After the first World War Germany was made to pay huge reparations, and effectively disband its military, which severely affected it's economy and was a core reason for Hitler's rise to power (garnering the support of disgruntled Germans, ect ect). The Allies (well, France mostly, but they did take the brunt of it) tried something similar after the second World War and it was eventually scrapped. As strange as it sounds, countries are figuring out that it's more useful and profitable to forgive your enemies and help them rebuild into an effective trading partner than it is to wipe them out or cripple them.

And it works too: Germany are the leading economy in Europe now and are helping to bail out the failing countries. Building good relations with your vanquished foe is immensely important unless you have the man power and resources to permenantly occupy and govern them, which is isn't practical, desirable or often even possible for modern powers due to the drain on resource and political backlash. Plus, the use of chemical and biological weapons can have consequences long after the end of a war, (illness, pollution, depopulation and defertilization... the list goes on, and that's without bringing the social, ecological and economical effects of unleashing a devasting bio-weapon on someone into account) making occupation difficult and/or pointless.

Releasing a devastating, horrific virus, with the potential to spread, is anathema to the goals of modern warfare and foreign policy. A terrorist organisation or "rogue nation" might feign interest in such a project but the ability to feasibly and safely develop and administer such a thing would be beyond most of them and the potential for self-destruction makes it more unattractive.

Sorry to labour for so long on such a trivial point, but apparently if I don't fully explain every inconsequently obvious thing that I say then I'm some sort of presumptuous idiot making shallow comments. Good thing ridiculous conspiracy theories don't need such an indepth analysis to be shown as ludacris or maybe someone intelligent might believe them. So if I haven't fully extrapolated upon some other point that shouldn't be worthy of more than a passing comment, please let me know.

I have to agree, people biting each other is nothing to get excited about, but there's a difference between biting someone during a fight and actually eating someone alive. Narcotic induced delusions that lead to cannibalism are not the same as a naturally induced reaction to a stressful situation. One is a natural response, one is a potentially worrying social issue. I think the bigger point was that it isn't a "trend", it's just that nobody bothered to google it or to remember stories involving biting before a drug addict ate someone's face. Which would be a far more worrying trend if it happened more often!
