I don't have a picture but you want to see something odd, look up a Goblin shark.

They're the ones that were supposed to be extinct until a few years ago, right? Goblin shark sounds cool and all, but I'd rather call them narwhals on steroids. :-D

You are thinking of either the Ceolocanth or the Frill Shark. Both were thought extinct & somewhat recently rediscovered. Goblins sharks are Narwals on steroids? Not so much. Narwals are a fair bit larger than Gblin sharks & a good site better looking.

Good photos are hard to find on both creatures as they tend to be somewhat elusive. Just do an image search for them & you may find some better ones.

I was joking, Countess :P Making a reference to both having giant horns/protrusions coming out of their head seems to have failed.

My Narwhal lesson was a short on an episode of Freakazoid.

If I remember my biology lessons correctly, narwhals have a rather oversized tooth.

Honestly, though, protrusion, horn, tooth... It doesn't really matter...

True what it is really doesn't matter in its self, it could be a tooth kind of like an elephant or warthogs tusks or it could be a bony growth or just some freak of nature. So, unless your studying the creatures.....it doesn't matter, we know the difference between narwals and goblin sharks (i hope) to be happy.
There is another world inside of me that you may never see and part of me is fighting this....yet part of me is gone.

This topic has ceased to be humorous.

I know this topic hasn't been posted in, in a LONG while. But it doesn't make sense to me to start the topic all over again... SOOO I edited my first few posts, so that the broken links were fixed and the pictures would show up...

Here are a few new pics to share!

Madagascan Sunset Moth

Comb Jelly (Jellyfish)

Stinging Rose Caterpillar

Bird of Paradise found in New Guinea

And Amaya posted something after me, but a few of her pictures aren't there, either.

Four Toed Jerboa (CUTE!)
Cantor's Giant Turtle
Naked Mole Rat
Leafy Sea Dragon
Angora Rabbit (aka my new pillow  *<:))

I'm glad you revived it! The moth is incredible! I will do a little poking around & see if I can find anything new to add.

Thank you Mickey! ^.^

The Moth was my favorite out of the collection I've gathered over the past couple years... it HAD to be the first one I showed off!

And it would be great to see some other pictures that haven't caught my eye! It doesn't have to be stuff that's actually "strange" though, it's a matter of opinion ^.^
