Ghosts; why do or don't you believe in them?

Ghosts aren't the only thing other people can't see Kadesh, it could have been a demon or fae who knows.
Or an hallucination. Hallucinations are more common than people would think, you don't even need a mental illness to have them - for example a lot of people say they've heard voices as they're going to bed, even I have. And unless you think the ghost of not-yet-dead Jeremy Clarkson was visiting me to recite a line of lyrics I'd been working on, it was obviously nothing supernatural.

You're right, not too mention that condition which means your eyes don't shut properly when you sleep which means you frequently have dreams of your bedroom or wherever you went to sleep but hallucinate at the same time so you wake up thinking you were visited by creatures in the night.

Or stress, or schizophrenia, or the imagination. Who knows?

I've been visited by demons far more than I care for, and it wasn't a demon. Nor a fae of any sort. It... he... is a ghost. And I know his background. Call me crazy, or whatever else you like, but I know what I saw that night... and what I feel when I go out there. If anyone that believes in this would like, I can give you the link to the full story here on the forum.

The irony of the whole "I just know" thing is that hallucinations are often like that. For example you'll probably have noticed in dreams you "just know" what things are or what people mean, even if the actual words heard or shapes seen are incredibly ambiguous; and an insane person's delusion is often the one thing they won't question - not saying you're insane obviously, that's just an example. What I'm saying is, when you actually see something new you have to work out what it is through conscious thought, but if it's in your head your subconscious will know exactly what it's doing.

That said, I obviously can't pretend to know for sure.

It's true, nothing has been proven, it could have been something like a ghost or there could be a scientific reason, like an hallucination. I don't know for sure, as much as you say you know for sure Kadesh, I don't believe you it seems that not many would. It's all speculation until undeniable evidence has been found and unfortunately it hasn't been found yet. So each to their own? There doesn't seem to be any other choice just yet.

I wish I could interpret my dreams... some of the ones I have are so bizarre and they actually scare me.

Yes, to each their own. I know what I saw that night and other times. The evil some things bring with them is unmistakable. I'm used to people not believing. It's why I don't tell people most of my stories. One person knows them all, and he believes and has felt it. That's more than enough for me.
